View of Ireland's wonderful landscape.

Woke up early to head out of Dublin for an adventurous day.   We had a two-hour bus ride to go see St. Patrick’s Church of Ireland Cathedral.  Today was the first day that we had snow!  I’m not used to seeing snow without mountains all around.  This cathedral stands on one of the most ancient Christian sites in the British Isles.  It’s been a house of God for over 1500 years.  Also, perhaps the greatest “realist” Ireland has know, Brain Boru was buried on this site.  After that church we headed to another St. Patrick’s Cathedral.  The difference between these two churches is that the first is Protestant and the second church was Catholic.  I found it interesting that when visiting Northern Ireland it is still a touchy subject as to whose a Protestant and whose a Catholic.  Of course, there is much history that is behind this; I assumed some hundred years later it wouldn't be an issue.  Also, Northern Ireland is in the UK meaning the currency is pounds rather than the Euro.(I found that out the hard way when I tried to pay for lunch with Euro's!)   Finally after a day of long bus rides and church tours, we headed back another two-hours to Trim Castle Hotel.
